Congratulations!! to all those who have passed out of the Bangalore University and have all their documents intact. To all those fortunate ones, who do not have to deal with the STONE BUILDING/ The SNEHA BHAVAN of the Bangalore University. If you are one of those many hundreds who have to deal with the university, either for and change in the official documents or some of the many documents need of a student; welcome to 'don't know where it is' land.
So what? if you receive your convocation three years after you have passed out. Because no one knows where the certificates are, or you have not yet received your duplicate marks card because the university cannot find the related documents. Its no ones fault but YOURS..... Firstly for choosing the Bangalore University to study, the rest just follow. I do want to crib, but I also want to help. So For all those who are clueless and don't know what to do. Here is what you can do, or rather how i figured it out to be.
- For all enquires regarding anything about documents visit the STONE BUILDING, The enquire counter (Next to the Central College Campus). Timings: 10:30 - 1:30, 2:30- 5:30.
- Cash is accepted only at the fist counter of in The State Bank of Mysore, Main Branch. (Not too sure if there is a branch office in the University campus/ Jnana Bharathi Campus at Kengeri(!)/ Nagarbhavi (!), please let me know if you do). Timings: 9:00 - 2:30
- SBM does not have an enquiry counter, be sure you have the details before you pay or else you might have to pay the extra amount with another challan.
- Please do look at the appropriate board when you do visit the stone building, there are some old boards and the amount to be paid has been revised. Do confirm at the counter once before paying.
- You have to come back to the STONE BUILDING with the bank slip get the required form, and submit it with the seal and signature of the college if you studied in one or the chairperson of the department if you have studied in the University.
- Do not bother to visit the stone building to collect the documents before 3:00pm its futile and a waste of time (Until and unless you have a college authorized official pass).
- The best way to use time is to be there before 3:00 and rush inside as soon as the gate opens. The counters to collect documents get might crowded... lol!!
- If the documents are not available to you even after 15 days of the given due date, please contact the Assistant Registrar Evaluation (at the stone building) and the Deputy Registrar Evaluation (at sneha bhavan) with complaints.
- Best if the person who is applying for the documents run for their work... they will make others run around in circles.....
- If you get one contact person, catch hold of her/ him (as tightly as possible) and break her/ his head, get their name and number right. To get rid of you they'll do your work and some don't even expect anything in return.

Yes there is a SBM Branch in Jnanabharati Campus (that is what it is called). It is inside the Administrative Block.
PS: I Can get you info on whom to catch to get which work done.
About the kengeri part, i was told it was kengeri and just chose to use it that way.
