The first time I heard 'anisuthide' on TV I didn't think it was great. But it was better than the others on the chart, a break from all the loud and violent songs. Then I got two songs from a friend, the two popular ones. The title track struck a chord, and I listened to it, time and again, until I could not think of anything but that song. Then I heard 'anuisuthide' it was good too, so another track on my playlist. Then one day I heard 'araluthiru', I was bowled over by the lyrics. It said so much, without saying so much more, the tune of course was already registered. So there it was on my playlist the three songs. 'Onde ondu saari' and 'kunidhu kunidhu baare' were different so, they found a way into my playlist. Now I had five songs and a new playlist..... the mungaaru male playlist. Listening to it time and again, the words come out unconsciously whenever I listen to the tune. Now the songs have become more or less addictive, there hasn't been a day since, that I have not listened to the songs. There have been other days when, I have let the playlist go on and on, until my mother had to throw a fit to make me stop.
Hats off to Sonu Nigam, no one else could have sung the song as well as he has, the emotions are just too overwhelming, in his voice, and he carries it off with so much ease. Shreya Ghoshal is another wonder box. Thank god for small mercies, we have music directors like Mano Murthy in our Kannada film industry. The tunes are catchy and fresh for Kannada cinema, no wonder it's a hit. The lyrics is great and meaningful. The background music is a little too loud for my taste but, that's just me. I also think, the songs are better off without the video, it somehow takes away the charm of the song; the Jog Falls scenes are an exception. On the whole, I think the music and the cinematography made the movie reach such heights. As for me, I'm just happy playing the songs over and over again on my playlist, thank you.
At world's end........ there it was.. and i was watching it on the first day.... yeahie !! I was as thrilled as that. A friend had warned me..... he had watched it and had not liked it..... but common... it's the pirates... forget anything i was going to watch it for Jack Sparrow. oh! is he good or is he good..... I could not help but to fall in love with him.... all over again...[like it was not enough for the fist two series]. It's sheer pleasure to watch Depp as Jack. The movie starts, and i'm waiting, and waiting, and waiting..... and after what seems like an endless wait packed with some action scenes; I am rewarded.... with one, two, three, four,five........ and many more jacks' hehehe ... ya.... that many..... oh! what a riot. what more.. you get to see some cool tattoos and some flesh too baby...[;)] and some seriously funny Jack.... he's so quirky, and lovable. and ah! his timing........ ( i'm sorry, i can just go on and on) and the rest as...
